beef in clay pot Options

All I have is stew meat on hand! Do you're thinking that browning the meat 1st, then including the rest of the elements (to verify all the good bits are incorporated) & then transfering all of it to some crock pot would convert out Alright?Of course, I exploit soap and h2o in mine.
